Pigeons
They aren’t protected, are they? And by pigeons I don’t mean women. I mean actual pigeons. Are they protected by the state or something? I wouldn’t think so. It’s not the state bird nor on the verge of extinction. I ask because, I think I’m going to kill one or maybe three.
A few weeks ago some pigeons decided to make a home or hang out spot on my porch which is...

Get Yourself Tested. I hear this on the radio every single morning and afternoon during my rage provoking commute. I believe it’s geared towards HIV/AIDS and while that is the most dangerous, I’d rather not have any STD. Call me crazy, but whether it’s curable or not is of no relevance to me - I don’t want it. No thank you, you can keep that,...

Interview with Boredom
A few months ago I finally broke down and watched Interview with a Vampire. It took me about 16 years to crack. I never watched it before because when I was 12 I thought the movie was fairly questionable and probably boring. I carried that notion with me for years. As an aspiring writer I convinced myself that I needed to break out of my shell and explore all successful movies. I’m 28 now...

Real Men
Supposedly “real men” don’t use umbrellas. Funny because I see these same “real men” run like little girls when it rains.
Kids? No thanks. A female's perspective.
Some time ago I fell into a particular age bracket. A bracket in which I’m now fortunate enough to be surrounded by engagements, marriages, and more importantly what seems to be a non-stop introduction of new life to this world (some by folks I don’t think should be allowed to reproduce, but that’s another post). Oh, and by fortunate I mean shoot me - please.
With that in mind,...
The Experiment

After letting it sit on my Netflix instant queue for months, I finally decided to watch this movie. Why? Because Spartacus is actin’ up and toying with my emotions. Anyway, if you’re into psychological thrillers, check it out.
Here’s what really made me post this. Have you ever watched a movie and thought that the actor played his/her role a little bit too...

Real Man...
Since I started following blogs about a year ago, I’ve come across several “Real Men…” posts. Long posts preaching to insecure men about what a real man does or does not do. It’s getting tired. Any dick with a keyboard and internet access can list how they go about life and swear that’s what a real man does. Act like it’s gospel when it’s really all...

Why Black Women Are Less Physically Attractive...
Don’t shoot me, it wasn’t my idea. If you aren’t familiar with this title, the latest internet buzz is a controversial article from Psychology Today titled, “Why Black Women Are Less Physically Attractive Than Other Women.” It has since been pulled, however, you can read it here.
When I first saw the title I didn’t immediately produce a generic response such...

Belt Ceremony
It’s only 4:30pm, but I feel like it’s going on 8. I’ve been running around all morning long and finally the day is over for me. Well, my responsibilities for the day are over I should say. I can now exercise my right to do absolutely nothing and have fun doing it.
My last event for the day was my nephew’s belt ceremony. He’s now a green belt, watch out 2nd graders....

**Throwback My 28 Cents Post** Click title to view full post. “Watching her walk away was nearly hypnotizing. Her body swayed side to side like a hypnotist’s pendant. When she was far away enough, she discretely looked back. She looked back to confirm she left me in a trance. A trance only a woman could leave a man in. With her nose to the sky she walked towards the corner of the room....
Famous
**NEW My 28 Cents POST**
I was watching music videos the other day. Had my feet up, enjoying the great feeling of paying off a nut-pinching loan. A video by Big Sean(?) came on and I saw that the name of his album is “Finally Famous.” Despite the album title being a bit of a stretch and far too soon, the word famous stuck.
I figured there’s a few ways to become to famous. Be...
Crack Wrap

I just had this steak & cheese wrap, which included lettuce, tomatoes, grilled green peppers, and extra cheese. It sounds good, and it was. However, 2 hours later I feel like I’ve just been introduced to drugs. The room is spinning, my throat is dry, I’m listless, and possibly drunk.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not...
